This is an EXTREMELY well-constructed piece of equipment. I mounted it on a wall stand with a Canon Camcorder and a 9.7" Ipad. NOTE: I mounted the iPad frame to the BOTTOM of the cage (rather than the top) in order to get the iPad just above the camcorder lens. So far, so good. However, I am sitting relatively close to the iPad / camcorder, and it's obvious I'm looking above the camera. I tried to mitigate this to no avail. Perhaps a smartphone with a more narrow field of view would have been a better choice, given my distance from the camera. I went with another solution better suited to my needs.

I had a few questions for the ishot team, great customer service they have! You just dont get this type of customer service anymore, but theirs is wonderful. happy happy happy. They asked me to also post my review on amazon here on their site; so here it is. -----> Finally! The perfect setup for DIY video making!I love this thing! I use it as pictured but with my iPhone in use with a prompter app (PromptSmart - "hears" and tracks my voice so no matter how fast or slow I am speaking it follows me, rather than me having to follow it). The smaller screen size means my eyes are not traveling as far from side to side to read a script and from the lens view, you cannot tell I am reading. Having the lens slightly below the prompter means that my eyes are more open and "lively" looking (we want to look our best, right?). I have tried many DIY contraptions and combinations to come up with a good system for making videos, but this one is a keeper.
